The Subclass 407 Training Visa is designed for individuals who wish to undertake structured workplace-based training in Australia. This training aims to enhance your skills in your current occupation, area of tertiary study, field of expertise, or through participation in a professional development program.

Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this visa, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be sponsored by an approved organization
- Be nominated (unless the sponsor is a Commonwealth Government agency)
- Be invited if sponsored by a Commonwealth Government agency
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
Note: Incomplete applications, missing documents, or incorrect information may lead to processing delays. On average, the visa takes 12 to 16 months to process.
What the Subclass 407 Visa Offers
This visa permits a temporary stay in Australia for up to two years, depending on the training program and nomination type. There are three main categories of eligible occupational training under this visa:
- Training for Registration – For those who need workplace experience to obtain registration or licensing.
- Skills Improvement – Aimed at developing skills in an occupation listed as eligible.
